POSITION SUMMARY:
This role involves a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, with day shifts from 9 am to 9 pm and night shifts from 9 pm to 9 am.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely, adhering to both personal and product safety regulations.
- Conduct visual inspections of products, documenting any defects through periodic inspection reports.
- Efficiently pack all approved products according to established protocols.
- Prepare boxes for production fill.
- Accurately count, weigh, and log the number of materials handled.
- Complete daily production documentation.
- Engage in rework, sorting, and the documentation of held items.
- Maintain a clean work environment in compliance with 5S and SQF standards.
- Operate automated machinery effectively.
- Participate in the Scholle IPN Pay for Skills Program for skill enhancement.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or G.E.D is mandatory.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willingness to work various shifts and perform overtime as needed.
- Future training or education may be required to enhance job competencies.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.
- Mathematical skills for basic calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Virtual Client for daily tasks.
- Competent in performing visual inspections and understanding technical specifications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical requirements listed are representative of those necessary for successful job performance.
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting are required.
- Regular use of hands for handling machinery is necessary.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching are part of the job.
- Visual acuity is essential for this position.
