Sanitation Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team at Lauridsen Group, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe production environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with quality and sanitation standards.

• Assist the Quality Control Supervisor and production personnel in maintaining a clean and organized production area
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual sanitation tasks as per the Master Sanitation Schedule
• Use industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment to sanitize and clean machines, floors, walls, and shelves
• Reassemble machines as necessary and perform record keeping and data tracking
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

• High school diploma or GED required; post-high school education in chemistry, food sciences, or related field preferred
• Food/feed manufacturing sanitation experience preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment and assist in other work-related areas as requested
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, storage, use, and measurement
• Ability to read and write in English and perform basic mathematical calculations

• Approximate 8-hour day (may be longer during peak season)
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Frequent lifting of weights up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work at heights and operate moving machinery/equipment
