Position Overview
Home, Hope and Healing, Inc. is in search of a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to provide dedicated care for an adult client in the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized, one-on-one care tailored to the client's needs.
  • Work flexible shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, available during days, evenings, or nights.
  • Choose to work Per Diem, Part Time, or Full Time based on your availability.
Your role will involve offering in-home support as outlined in the client's individualized care plan. Responsibilities may include:
  • Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and oral care; helping with dressing and undressing; preparing meals and assisting with feeding; supporting mobility and safe restroom use.
  • Facilitating daily living activities, including meal preparation, aiding communication via phone or internet, and performing general housekeeping duties like laundry and dishwashing.
Support Structure
Our care model is reinforced by regional Nurse Managers who offer continuous support, oversight, and training to our team members.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a PSS certificate or completion of a company-approved, web-based PSS certification training program (must enroll within one month and complete within six months of employment). Alternatively, an active CNA certification is acceptable.
  • Preferred: One year of clinical experience in home care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation necessary.
  • Successful completion of background checks is mandatory.
