Job Overview

This Registered Nurse position is a key role in our nursing center, focusing on educating staff to ensure effective patient care and adherence to guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nursing skills and experience in gerontology.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current accepted patient care and nursing center practices.
  • Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period.
  • Perform annual competency testing and evaluation, clinically appraising nursing staff performance to identify areas for education.
  • Provide oversight to Employee Health Program, including administering and tracking tuberculosis and hepatitis vaccine, and tracking influenza immunizations for all employees.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license
  • Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
  • Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred
  • Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
  • Experience in Gerontology preferred
  • Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred

Salary and Location

The estimated salary for this position is $42-$45 per hour. The job is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
