The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our residential communities, promoting a positive and inclusive living environment, and developing and implementing programs that enhance the student experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to residential communities, including developing and implementing programs and services that promote student success and well-being.
  • Collaborate with student staff and other university departments to ensure a seamless and supportive living environment.
  • Develop and implement assessment and evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of residential programs and services.
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to student staff, including training, coaching, and evaluation.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in residence life and student affairs, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or human resources.
  • At least one year of experience in residence life or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to student success and well-being.
  • Knowledge of residence life and student affairs best practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting, with a focus on residence life or student affairs.
  • Knowledge of native Hawaiian customs and culture, with a commitment to cultural competency and sensitivity.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows or Apple applications.
