Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team at St. Mary's Home. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our floors, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, shampooers, and related equipment to maintain floors.
  • Wet mop rooms, halls, and other areas, and shampoo rugs and furniture as needed.
  • Buff, strip, wax, and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
  • Move furniture and other heavy objects as required.
  • Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms.
  • Clean equipment and assist with other cleaning duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience working as a floor technician, in environmental services, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Essential Functions
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear speech of another person.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk for long periods of time.
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
