Job Summary

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for performing and assisting department personnel with standard duties to ensure that production needs are being met. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machines and the ability to operate them safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine set ups and product changeovers per production schedule
• Safely and efficiently operate CNC machines to meet production needs
• Perform daily inspections of equipment and maintain housekeeping expectations (5S)
• Accurately maintain inventory control systems and maintain lot traceability of product throughout the value stream
• Understand and maintain inventory control systems
• Operate industrial equipment (forklift, crane, hand carts, industrial tools, etc.)

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred, not required
• 5 years manufacturing experience
• Previous work experience within the department/metals manufacturing is a plus
• Required to maintain licenses on crane and forklifts
• CNC and machining skills
• Computer skills required include working knowledge of MS Works and Excel as well as advanced AutoCAD skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, a safe work history, and strong work ethics
