Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at University Hospitals. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical and research expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead research studies, including designing materials and tools, writing protocols and funding applications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct patient evaluations and consultations, interpret results, and provide treatment plans in conjunction with patients and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate collected data, analyze results, and contribute to grant proposals and publications.
  • Collaborate with investigators on and off campus to plan and execute research projects.
  • Provide mentorship and education to colleagues and students in the area of speech language pathology.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship in Speech Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Ability to obtain an OH Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Board certification in swallowing (BCS-S) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
