Job Description:
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team as a Building & Grounds Worker I. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of our office buildings, grounds, and resident units. This includes cleaning and maintaining the Authority's grounds, resident units, and office buildings; pruning and trimming trees and shrubs; mowing lawns, cutting grass, and trimming hedges; planting trees and shrubs; re-seeding lawns; operating power equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge clippers, and saws; making minor adjustments and repairs on normally used equipment; boarding and un-boarding windows; doing yard work and fence repair work; repairing sprinklers; picking up paper and debris; removing large cast-off items dumped in garbage areas; cleaning and keeping garbage chutes clear; using non-restricted chemicals in vacant units and utility/community areas; cleaning and scours sinks, showers, toilets, and stoves; cleaning and scrubbing walls and floors in halls and in other areas; cleaning windows in vacant units and office areas; driving trucks in picking up furniture or debris; loading and unloading trucks; and maintaining simple job records.

Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain the Authority's grounds, resident units, and office buildings;
• Prune and trim trees and shrubs;
• Mow lawns, cut grass, and trim hedges;
• Plant trees and shrubs;
• Re-seed lawns;
• Operate power equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge clippers, and saws;
• Make minor adjustments and repairs on normally used equipment;

• Pick up paper and debris;
