Job Summary

Marathon Petroleum Company's Marine division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shore-based Tankerman to join our team in Texas City, TX. As a key member of our Marine Operations team, you will be responsible for conducting barge transfers, troubleshooting barges, and performing minor maintenance on barges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct barge transfers in accordance with Marathon's procedures and USCG regulations
  • Troubleshoot barges and perform minor maintenance as needed
  • Be proficient in all phases of barge transfers, including heater operation on hot oil barges
  • Maintain records and document all transfer times
  • Interface with Marathon Marine's customers and adhere to Marathon policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Merchant Marine Credential (MMC) with Tankerman PIC and Barge DL endorsement, and TWIC card
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
