Job Summary

Pacifica Senior Living Poway is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating a delightful dining experience for our residents. Your culinary expertise, creativity, and dedication to quality will contribute to the overall satisfaction and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan nutritious and well-balanced menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our senior residents.
  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
  • Innovate and create new dishes to provide variety and excitement for our residents.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to ensure meals meet specific dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a cook in a similar culinary environment, preferably within a senior living community or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create and prepare high-quality meals.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Experience in volume-batch cooking.
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; a diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
