Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager

Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team in Johnsonville, NY.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering patient care services in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
  • Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work.
  • Assure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
  • Collaborate with other service and department leaders to attain short- and long-term goals and objectives.
