In-House Workers' Compensation Paralegal Professional

In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, AmTrust Financial Services seeks an experienced In-House Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join their team. This role is perfect for a highly organized and motivated individual who can provide top-notch support to attorneys in handling workers' compensation claims.
About the Role
This position involves providing administrative support to attorneys, preparing documents, managing mail, coordinating meetings, and communicating with clients and witnesses. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively, and work independently in a team environment.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Answering inbound phone calls and routing inquiries to the correct team member
• Retrieving, scanning, and routing all incoming mail to the proper team and Claims
• Monitoring and processing office electronic mailbox correspondence
• Flagging critical documents requiring timely responses and appearances
• Managing and prioritizing competing deadlines
• Processing outbound USPS/FedEx mail
• Coordinating/scheduling meetings, hearings, appointments, and depositions
• Assisting in the preparation for trials, including trial notebooks, exhibits, subpoenas, and witness coordination
• Communicating with clients, witnesses, adversaries, court, and team members
• Interacting with people of all levels of the company as a member of the legal team
• Handling confidential information in a discreet manner
Requirements
To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess:
• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal
• 2+ years of CT, MA, NH, or VT Workers' Compensation experience
• Prior workers' compensation experience supporting multiple attorneys and completing/meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience with a document management platform (Litify a plus)
• Organized, self-motivated, ability to prioritize and work independently
• Exceptional attention to detail and production of professional work product
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive respectful attitude
