About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at myGwork - LGBTQ+ professionals & allies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of our web applications, working closely with our Lead Software Engineers to drive technical and architectural direction.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the ongoing feature development of our web applications, leveraging service-oriented architecture and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
  • Research, analyze, design, and deliver solutions that align with our business and application development strategies.
  • Work with globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts and ensure seamless integration.
  • Design and develop new projects and enhancements based on evolving business needs, interacting with internal users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and development principles.
  • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and multi-tiered enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in Java and related technologies, including Spring, Hibernate, and JSR-RS.
  • Experience with modern web technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of build/dependency management tools, including Maven and SCM.
  • Experience with application containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry.
  • Able to work effectively within an agile development process, including SCRUM, Unit Testing, and Continuous Build and Integration.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
