About the Job

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Mindful Sprouts, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with diverse exceptionalities and their families. You will work in various settings, including clients' homes, schools, and community environments. Your responsibilities will include delivering direct instruction, implementing behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collecting data, and maintaining professional relationships with parents and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or related exceptionalities.
  • Implement behavior plans as outlined in clients' programs by associated BCBAs.
  • Collect and display data in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in updating client programs as instructed by associated BCBAs.
  • Maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Notify management of emergencies or significant incidents; suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and/or changes in client status in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Arrive at appointments, meetings, trainings, etc. at scheduled times.
  • Return phone calls, electronic mail, and other correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner and treat all clients, customers, co-workers, and others with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Follow all clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, speech/language disorders, psychology, or a related field.
  • Satisfactorily completed a minimum 40-hour RBT certification course from an accredited institution.
  • Medicaid Number.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD or related exceptionalities preferred.
  • Ability to proficiently communicate in English. Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese/English) preferred.
  • Dependable and a passion for helping children and adolescents.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and car insurance. Ability to get to and from appointments.
  • Must have successfully passed criminal background screening.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
