Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Acute Critical Care functions as a vital member of the healthcare team by demonstrating a customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism self-development, and teamwork. The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound clinical decisions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in nursing
- Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Two years' hospital nursing experience preferred
