Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Paramedic to join our team at Decatur Morgan Hospital. As a Paramedic EMT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services in a fast-paced emergency medical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ambulance maintenance and ensure equipment is operational.
  • Respond to emergency calls within time guidelines and deliver care according to patient needs.
  • Maintain competency in emergency medical care, including the use of suction, immobilization equipment, and medications.
  • Participate in continuous education programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Drive an ambulance safely under emergency conditions and navigate city/county geography.
  • Accurately document patient care and complete reports in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to facility guidelines, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local providers, hospitals, and the community.
  • Communicate effectively with receiving facilities, call coordinators, and dispatch teams.
Requirements
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in the state of Alabama.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • No previous experience required.
