We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Paramedic to join our team at Decatur Morgan Hospital. As a Paramedic EMT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services in a fast-paced emergency medical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ambulance maintenance and ensure equipment is operational.
- Respond to emergency calls within time guidelines and deliver care according to patient needs.
- Maintain competency in emergency medical care, including the use of suction, immobilization equipment, and medications.
- Participate in continuous education programs to improve skills and knowledge.
- Drive an ambulance safely under emergency conditions and navigate city/county geography.
- Accurately document patient care and complete reports in a timely manner.
- Adhere to facility guidelines, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local providers, hospitals, and the community.
- Communicate effectively with receiving facilities, call coordinators, and dispatch teams.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in the state of Alabama.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- No previous experience required.
