About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Vertis Therapy. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatments and document progress notes on patients.
  • Collaborate with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized Occupational Therapy department and equipment.
  • Participate in in-service programs and meetings to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to Vertis Therapy's management policies, state, federal, and professional standards, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Current license or eligibility for licensure under state statutes.
  • Preferably, one year of rehabilitation experience in a similar setting.
  • Active membership in the state and national American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adequate computer skills for required job duties and documentation.
