Exciting Newborn Hospitalist Position in North Dallas
Key ResponsibilitiesWe are pleased to present an opportunity for board-certified or board-eligible pediatricians to serve as newborn hospitalists within our thriving, diverse, multispecialty neonatology practice located in the North Dallas region. Our pediatricians collaborate with a dedicated team that includes in-house neonatologists and a network of neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and pediatric surgeons, all committed to delivering comprehensive newborn services across various healthcare facilities.
Position Details:
- Deliver 10-hour, in-house coverage in the newborn nursery, with on-call responsibilities from home during evening hours.
- Tasks encompass admissions and management of infants in the newborn nursery, attendance at deliveries, transitional care, circumcision procedures, and family consultations.
- Provide Level-I to Level-II newborn care at affiliated medical centers, managing an average daily census of 10-15 infants at one location, 8-10 at another, and 12-17 at a third.
- Access to neonatologist support and backup in all high-risk scenarios.
- Flexibility and a keen interest in continuous learning and teaching are highly regarded.
- Engagement in educational and quality improvement initiatives is encouraged.
