Job Summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography imaging examinations, administering I.V. contrast media, and positioning patients for imaging. You will work under the supervision of the Radiology Manager and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography imaging examinations, including selecting radiation exposure and computer parameters in accordance with department protocols.
  • Administer I.V. contrast media, selecting appropriate contrast media and preparing I.V. contrast administration on established protocols.
  • Position patients for imaging, applying patient immobilization devices and gonad shielding as appropriate.
  • Enter patient identification information in assigned computer systems and review CT images to ensure acceptable image quality.
  • Record all patient charges as scheduled by ordering physician and document clinical information in computer system and other specified data as required.
  • Perform related duties, including cleaning CT equipment and accessories, requesting supplies from hospital stock, and coordinating time of CT examination with other imaging modalities as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or higher education.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist.
  • CT Boards preferred.
  • BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The CT Technologist must be able to lift and move patients as needed and to work in a variety of positions, including standing, sitting, and bending. The position also requires the ability to work with a variety of medical equipment, including CT scanners and I.V. pumps.
