Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Ctl Engineering. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in performing geotechnical explorations and investigations for our clients.

• Perform geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, and risk evaluation on developments.
• Train and supervise lab technicians, maintain quality reviews and certifications, manage equipment inventory and calibration, client marketing and proposal preparation.
• Work independently on broad projects with oversight/supervision by the Dept. Manager.
• Provide direction on a project to project basis, preparing lab testing assignments, reviewing documents, and testing results for content and accuracy.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports.
• Interact with clients on technical aspects of the projects.
• Review soils laboratory test results.
• Assist in planning and the execution of subsurface investigation programs, including the understanding of project design plans, locating test borings at project sites, coordinating underground utility clearance.
• Design development and analysis of earth embankments, earth retaining structures, and anchoring systems.
• Perform analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability evaluations.
• Monitor and enforce quality control standards and specifications.

• 1-10 years of experience in consulting engineering on various civil projects.
• E.I.T. or P.E. capability is required.
• Already having EIT or PE licensure is a strong plus/desired.
• BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is desired, but not required.
