Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our critical care team, you will provide exceptional care to infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients in the pediatric intensive care unit. This includes conducting health histories, physical assessments, and developing plans of care, as well as ordering and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical assessments for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Develop and implement plans of care in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Order and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions as needed.
  • Perform daily documentation and billing.
  • Collaborate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary services.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the education and training of other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner program and be certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. You will also need to have prior experience working in a pediatric intensive care unit and be able to work rotating shifts.
