The Residential Manager is a key member of the Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. team, responsible for ensuring the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are met in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with individuals to develop and implement personalized plans to promote their health, safety, and personal outcomes.
- Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and Community Support Specialists to provide high-quality support services.
- Work closely with clinical providers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of individual plans and progress.
- Manage personnel by supervising, training, evaluating, and observing team members.
- Interview, hire, develop, and retain high-quality staff.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Implement a continuous quality improvement process for department services and administrative functions.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of Human Resources policies and programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience; internal candidates with probationary period and recommendation may be considered.
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or mental health disorders.
- Proficient computer skills and writing skills with basic grammar and spelling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to drive agency vehicles preferred.
This role is performed in-person, with occasional travel in agency vehicles.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods.
- Effective communication and ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
