Job Summary

The Residential Manager is a key member of the Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. team, responsible for ensuring the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are met in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop and implement personalized plans to promote their health, safety, and personal outcomes.
  • Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and Community Support Specialists to provide high-quality support services.
  • Work closely with clinical providers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of individual plans and progress.
  • Manage personnel by supervising, training, evaluating, and observing team members.
  • Interview, hire, develop, and retain high-quality staff.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • Implement a continuous quality improvement process for department services and administrative functions.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of Human Resources policies and programs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience; internal candidates with probationary period and recommendation may be considered.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or mental health disorders.
  • Proficient computer skills and writing skills with basic grammar and spelling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to drive agency vehicles preferred.
Work Environment

This role is performed in-person, with occasional travel in agency vehicles.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Effective communication and ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
