Position: Full-Time Library Maintenance Technician
The City of Watertown is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Full-Time Library Maintenance Technician. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the library remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
The Library Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of library facilities.
- Conducting basic troubleshooting for heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Utilizing computer systems to manage the building's HVAC operations.
- Ensuring proper floor care, window cleaning, restroom upkeep, and office maintenance.
- Managing grounds maintenance and overseeing waste collection and recycling efforts.
- Assisting with snow removal and transportation of materials as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), along with at least one year of experience in operating light to medium equipment and a similar duration of experience in building and grounds maintenance. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential, as is the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
