Job Description

This position involves flying rotor wing turbine aircraft in various weather conditions to transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. Responsibilities include ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy, completing pre-flight checks, and maintaining a high level of situational awareness.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold an instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
  • Possess at least 2000 total flight hours with 1000 hours of PIC time in the same category
  • Have flown in the previous 24 months
Additional Job Requirements
  • Maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be less than 70 years old
Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Program

To ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM), and Air Methods policies, we require our pilots to maintain a high level of proficiency. This includes adhering to strict standards for flight planning, navigation, and communication.
