Gastroenterologist Opportunity at Kernodle Clinic

Duke Health is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our established GI practice at Kernodle Clinic. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a strong referral base and build a thriving practice.
Practice DetailsThe practice is based at Kernodle Clinic, a 75,000 sq. ft. facility with a walk-in clinic and two satellite offices. Procedures will be performed at Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) located adjacent to the clinic, and a nearby offsite ambulatory facility. Both facilities are well-equipped with Olympus equipment and dedicated anesthesia services.
Call and Hospital ResponsibilitiesThe hired physician will be joining a team of three GI physicians and four Advanced Practice Practitioners (e.g., Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner). On average, the GI Department call consists of six consults and a typical inpatient census of eight. Hospital consults and inpatient rounding are handled by the department Physicians and APPs. Practice call is 1:6 nights and weekends.
Community and LocationAlamance County is a centrally located area in the piedmont region of North Carolina, with a population of 155,000. The county includes the midsize communities of Burlington, Elon, and Mebane, and straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina. The area offers a high quality of life, with a range of cultural and recreational activities.
