Key Responsibilities- Review prior authorization documents and data from prescribers, including medications, dosages, and laboratory results.
- Conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Monitor medication and dosages for children to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Interact with prescribers and their representatives to provide information on prior authorization programs.
- Comply with relevant Medicaid and program policies and procedures regarding authorizations and communications.
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctoral degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D) preferred.
- Current Maryland licensure in good standing to practice as a pharmacist or a federal district licensure where the work will be performed upon hire.
- Ability to effectively provide excellent customer service and communicate verbally and written thoughts, ideas, and facts.
