Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (Part-Time) to join our team at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing prior authorization documents and data from prescribers, conducting drug utilization reviews, and monitoring medication and dosages for children. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the improvement of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review prior authorization documents and data from prescribers, including medications, dosages, and laboratory results.
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Monitor medication and dosages for children to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with prescribers and their representatives to provide information on prior authorization programs.
  • Comply with relevant Medicaid and program policies and procedures regarding authorizations and communications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctoral degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D) preferred.
  • Current Maryland licensure in good standing to practice as a pharmacist or a federal district licensure where the work will be performed upon hire.
  • Ability to effectively provide excellent customer service and communicate verbally and written thoughts, ideas, and facts.
