About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our musculoskeletal care team, you will provide expert care to patients with hip and knee conditions, working collaboratively with our team to manage their arthritis through conservative and surgical means.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for musculoskeletal patients, including injections and urgent care collaboration.
  • Review patient medical history, collect and prioritize comprehensive data, and make decisions regarding patient care.
  • Provide education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families, working collaboratively to improve their health and well-being.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management, providing clinical care and surgical intervention as needed.
  • May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient, or outpatient hospital setting, with potential for on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • 0-2 years of demonstrated experience in designated specialty area, with 0-2 years of experience in research, presentations, and sideline coverage preferred.
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required, with board certification or eligibility within designated specialty upon hire.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier - Multisource required within 180 Days.
