Responsibilities">

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, performing patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure, developing and coordinating individual plan of care including discharge planning, directing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care within assigned clinical setting, delegating appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level, documenting patient care according to standard procedure, developing, implementing/coordinating, and documenting Education Plan for patient/family/significant other, ensuring quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers, administering medications, performing treatments, therapies, and operating equipment according to policy and procedure, assisting physician with treatment and procedures and special tests as required or directed, participating in and supporting Nursing Governance activities, assuming responsibility for professional growth, assisting in education and development of staff, and participating in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrating the use of quality improvement in daily operations.

Qualifications">

The successful candidate will possess thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing, unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

A bachelor's degree in Nursing is highly preferred.

Work Environment">

This role requires work indoors in a patient care environment. The physical demands of this role include working in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
