Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating Cat Scan equipment, positioning patients to produce diagnostic radiographs, and performing related duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Cat Scan equipment to make radiographic scans of designated portions of the body.
  • Adjust equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination.
  • Instruct and explain procedures to patients.
  • Select proper technical factors, on an individual patient basis.
  • Perform reconstruction and special processing of data.
  • Evaluate completed radiographs/scans for positioning, technique, and adequacy of examination.
Requirements:
  • Texas Medical Board Certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT (R) Registration.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Graduate of an approved program in Radiologic Technology (Associates degree or Vocational).
