Electrical Systems Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the electrical systems that power our spacecraft and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance plans for critical electrical systems
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance activities on electrical systems
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems, diagnosing, and recommending repairs
  • Maintain and analyze equipment data and historical records to reduce or eliminate repetitive failures
  • Develop drawings and specifications to define requirements for building repairs and modifications
  • Identify and coordinate budgeting and procurement of spare parts
  • Provide safe and thorough maintenance production support as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with complex facility design, operations, and maintenance
  • Recent facility development or management experience supporting mission-critical operations
  • Experience in sub-contract management of suppliers
  • Strong project management, budget management, and team leadership skills
  • Project planning, schedule, and cost estimation
  • Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations
