Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to patient needs, minimizing exposure to surgical and anesthetic states.
- Identify and respond to emergency situations, utilizing sound judgment and established procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or other training preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
