We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Bryan Health. As a Cardiovascular Clinic RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring the medical needs of patients with various cardiac and vascular related health conditions are met.">
  • Provide professional nursing care that requires expertise and judgment, including triage of patient follow-up, patient teaching, and abnormal test result communication.">
  • Retrieve test results, communicate with healthcare providers, and contact patients regarding abnormal results, delegating communication of normal results as needed.">
  • Monitor patient caseload for high-risk patients, compliance with physician orders, and follow-up appointments and referrals.">
  • Triage and respond to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical offices, managing urgent/emergent situations and documenting as necessary.">
  • Prepare Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for patient visits, documenting patient interactions, orders, results, patient questions/concerns, and medication changes in a timely manner.">
  • Facilitate patient flow according to appointment times, avoiding delays for healthcare providers and minimizing waiting time for patients.">
  • Conduct new patient histories and assessments, reviewing established patient history updates, including pain assessment, domestic abuse review, medication reconciliation, and allergy review.">
  • Educate patients and families about tests/procedures, results, medications, nutrition, and other health-related issues.">
  • Assist with rooming, including vital signs, patient history, preparing patients for examination/procedures, performing EKGs, and maintaining clean and ready rooms.">
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality in matters related to patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers.">
  • Provide non-judgmental, compassionate, and non-discriminatory care, remaining sensitive to patients' diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights.">
  • Respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations, documenting as necessary and managing transfer of care.">
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and safety plans.">
  • Participate in performance improvement meetings, electronic health record enhancements, and day-to-day operations as assigned.">
  • Manage work hours, supplies, and clinical costs in line with fiscal responsibility and budget.">
  • Assist healthcare providers in both Lincoln and Outreach Clinic sites as assigned.">
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay current with latest trends in field of expertise.">

Requirements:

">

We require a Registered Nurse with graduation from an accredited program and current licensure in the State of Nebraska. A minimum of one year relevant nursing experience is required, with clinic and cardiovascular nursing experience preferred.

Certifications/Credentials:

">

BLS certification is required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and Military Training Network certifications.
