POSITION SUMMARY:
We are in search of an Educational Simulation Program Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality, efficiency, and attractiveness of the educational offerings at the Borra College of Health Sciences (BCHS).
The Coordinator will collaborate with the Dean and program leaders to design and execute simulation-based educational initiatives tailored for various health professional programs.
This role involves overseeing the creation of curricula across multiple inter-professional fields, formulating and implementing a comprehensive strategy to evaluate program effectiveness and competency-based learner outcomes, and advancing continuing medical education initiatives.
The Coordinator will partner closely with BCHS leadership to establish educational programs delivered both on-site and remotely to diverse audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Spearhead the design, development, execution, and assessment of simulation-based educational activities, addressing needs in education, evaluation, research, and process enhancement.
2. Manage a diverse array of simulation-based educational projects, ensuring their development and execution align with established timelines and budgetary guidelines.
3. Collaborate with BCHS leadership to fulfill the goals, mission, and vision of BCHS.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in simulation-based curriculum development, assessment, and instructional design methodologies.
5. Contribute to the formulation of a strategic plan for simulation educational initiatives within the Borra College of Health Sciences.
6. Identify and facilitate the adoption of innovative educational technologies and methods to enrich simulation-based learning experiences.
7. Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty.
8. Partner with BCHS stakeholders and external organizations to optimize simulation-based instruction, emphasizing best practices in teaching, debriefing, and assessment methodologies.
9. Develop and nurture relationships across BCHS to promote simulation initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
All qualifications are required unless otherwise indicated.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in education or a science-related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in simulation.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Proficient technical and computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registration and licensure in a related healthcare field (e.g., nursing, respiratory therapy, etc.).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- CHSE or CHSE-A Certification.
- Two years of experience in a clinical discipline.
