Radiology Technologist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist I to join our team at SSM Health. In this role, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position patients for radiology exams and ensure they understand the procedures.
- Transport patients to and from clinical areas, verifying patient identity according to policies and procedures.
- Assist technologists with preparing patient reports and charts, matching films to folders, and delivering reports to patient units/physicians.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures and report any abnormalities.
- Ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS and equipment is properly functioning.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree required.
- No experience required.
Work Environment:
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
