Manufacturing Technologist

At Umanist Staffing LLC, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technologist to join our team in Southington, CT. This is a contract position that requires 10 months of commitment.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Manufacturing Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct operation of automatic and semi-automatic assembly production equipment in accordance with governing documentation.

This includes troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying automated machinery, as well as performing machine setup, equipment/product changeovers, and assisting the team with machine adjustments.

You will also be required to perform diagnostic checks on automated equipment, isolate problems, and make repairs using your knowledge of controls, drawings, electrical systems, general mechanics, hand tools, hydraulics, machine shop, piping systems, pneumatics, and welding.

In addition, you will be responsible for completing shift start-up paperwork, conducting preventive maintenance tasks, understanding machine MO, PC, WP, STM, and Interim Specifications, and performing changeovers.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in multiple skill clusters, including electronics, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

Experience in troubleshooting simple to complex motor control relays, contactors, and jog circuits is also desirable.

Additionally, you should have good verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to learn new technologies and understand continuous improvement activities.
