Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

Mental Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team.

Job Summary

The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide drug and alcohol counseling to adult clients in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and a strong understanding of the recovery process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor client progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices in addiction treatment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. psychology, social work, counseling)
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g. CBT, DBT)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
