Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PCA to join our team on a PRN basis. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, while promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, while maintaining confidentiality and respect for their autonomy.
  • Ensure residents' linens are changed regularly and their vital signs are taken as required.
  • Participate in rehabilitation programs, such as bowel and bladder retraining, grooming, and other activities designed to promote independence and mobility.
  • Maintain accurate patient care records, including documentation of vital signs, treatments, and any concerns or issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the charge nurse and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a NA1 training program and certified by the state within four months of completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for the dignity and autonomy of residents.
