Position Overview

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that facilities and surrounding areas are kept clean and safe. This role involves manual labor and requires various physical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute a comprehensive range of custodial and janitorial duties, including mopping and wall cleaning.
  • Carry out semi-skilled and skilled tasks in other relevant trade areas.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned or required by the contract.
Education and Skills Required
  • Familiarity with building cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment.
  • Understanding of the proper use of a variety of chemicals in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledge of safe disposal methods for hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens.
Qualifications
  • Proficient understanding of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment.
  • Awareness of the appropriate use of a wide range of chemicals in accordance with regulatory standards.
