Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our Information Services team. This role is crucial in advancing our mission of Strategic Deterrence through ongoing innovation and enhancement of our security measures. The ISSO will be responsible for the following:

  • Implementing and overseeing security controls to safeguard our networks and systems.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for automation to enhance secure and agile solutions.
  • Collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain a comprehensive security approach.
  • Creating and reviewing Cybersecurity documentation to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conducting reviews of access requests to uphold security standards.
  • Engaging in system hardening verification processes.
  • Providing support for the change management process related to Cybersecurity.
  • Gaining proficiency in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Clearance and Certification Requirements

This position necessitates an active final Secret clearance upon hire, with the potential to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Candidates must also meet DoD M IAM Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire.

Education and Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following:

  • High School diploma with 10 years of relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.

Additionally, candidates should have experience or knowledge in cybersecurity, networks, system components, and software development, along with strong communication skills to engage with senior leadership effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have IAM Level III certification (CISSP or equivalent) and a solid understanding of computer networks and security protocols, along with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
