Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate RN to join our team as a local contract nurse in the PCU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and experience working with patients who require close monitoring and management.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to patients in the PCU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to ensure timely and effective interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
- Experience working with post-op CABG, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations.
- Knowledge of cardiac drips/titrations and electrolyte replacement.
- Experience with management of chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands.
