Job Title: NICU Charge Nurse

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Charge Nurse to join our team in Baldwin Park, California.

About the Role:

The NICU Charge Nurse will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the NICU team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a safe and healing environment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the NICU team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of recent experience in Level III NICU or successful completion of KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Basic Life Support
