Precast Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Precast Estimator to join our team in Wallingford, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Estimation:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for precast concrete products.

Cost Analysis:

• Evaluate material, labor, equipment, and production costs to provide accurate and competitive pricing.

Bid Preparation:

• Compile and present estimates in a clear, detailed format for submission.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals and communicate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.

Vendor Coordination:

• Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the best value and quality for materials and services.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks or challenges in the project and incorporate contingencies into the estimates.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and communications related to each project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Industry Knowledge:

• Understanding of infrastructure construction, precast concrete, materials, and industry standards.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Teamwork:

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.

Time Management:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
