Gynecologic Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gyn Oncology Ambulatory Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and advocate for patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including assessing health needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote patient safety and quality care.
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
- License Registered Nurse required.
- American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certification.
- 1-3 years related work experience required.
- Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web-based applications.
- Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise.
- Decision Making: Ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.
- Independence of Action: Ability to follow precedents and procedures, set priorities, and organize work within general guidelines.
- Written Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.
- Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers.
- Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
- Team Work: Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving.
