Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Production Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Building Brands. As a key member of our extrusion team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect extruded product for appearance and size defects according to specifications
  • Conduct recurrent tests/inspections of products' functional features, including nail slot depth, weep holes, butt end channel locks, etc.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of product defects
  • Assemble cartons for packaging and ensure proper packing patterns, product counts, and package enclosures
  • Transfer carton to finished product skid and discard unacceptable panels in Scrap Rack
  • Identify product that is jammed up in production line and assist as necessary
  • Perform line shut down tasks and communicate with previous and following shifts' Extrusion Associates about product quality, problems, and status of work in progress
  • Complete accurately and legibly all line packaging-related paperwork
  • Punch time clock before and after shift to record time worked
  • Observe health and safety practices when handling products
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
