Job Summary

Odle Management is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our health and wellness department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating the Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement programs related to substance use and abuse prevention and intervention in conjunction with the Mental Health Consultant and Health Services staff.
  • Coordinate all programs designed to reduce and eliminate substance use and abuse and in compliance with the Department of Labor/Job Corps guidelines.
  • Conduct in-service training sessions with both staff and students in all areas related to substance use and abuse.
  • Submit recommendations to the Center Director for medical terminations related to substance misuse and abuse.
  • Act as liaison between center and agency resource and referral contacts.
  • Monitor behavior and progress of students involved in the Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.
  • Maintain confidential reports and records on all referrals and cases.
  • Prepare and submit appropriate reports as required.
  • Attend required staff training sessions.
  • Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect.
Requirements:
  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets minimum state licensing or certification requirements to practice in the state where Center is located.
  • Prefer One year of work-related experience.
  • Prefer experience working with youth.
  • Prefer Master's degree and previous experience with disadvantaged youth, particularly in a residential setting.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
