About the Role

As a Plasma Center Nurse at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to screen and advise donors on their eligibility to donate plasma, while also managing donor adverse events and reviewing laboratory test results.

You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service and quality care to our donors. Your commitment to safety and quality will be essential in maintaining a clean and efficient environment for our donors.

Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Conduct medical history interviews and physical examinations to ensure donor safety.
  • Review laboratory test results and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
  • Manage donor adverse events and provide guidance on medical or technical issues.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • Manage employee incidents and refer to EHS guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
