Job Title: Vice President/Head of Internal Audit

Coastal1 Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Internal Audit department. As Vice President/Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a risk-based audit plan to identify and mitigate potential risks to the credit union.
  • Oversee the internal audit staff and ensure that all audit work is completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all audit findings and recommendations are properly documented and implemented.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors to ensure that audit results are communicated effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure that our internal audit function is aligned with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of progressive internal audit experience, with a strong background in risk management and compliance.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
