Overview

Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Group is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to join our established practice in Prescott, AZ.

This role is a solo provider practice who works closely with hospitalists, wound care center and infusion center, small practice with 1 MA and 1 receptionist as support staff.

The patient population is adults only, most patients are over age 50 due to the population of Prescott and surrounding areas.

The most common things that we treat are infected joints, diabetic foot infections, Pulmonary MAC and some bacteremia / endocarditis.

This role does not treat HIV (there is a state funded clinic here who treats), hepatitis (GI providers treat here), or active TB (go to the county health department).

Responsibilities

This role involves 8 hours a week at the wound care center and consults on those patients when the nurses change their dressings so one can see their wounds.

Sees 20-30 patients at the wound care center a week.

Outpatient: 30-40 office patients a week, provider currently spends 3-4 hours in clinic every day

Inpatient: 2-16 ID inpatients at a time. Provider goes to both hospital campuses to consult.
