Critical Care Nurse

\t* Provide nursing care to critically ill patients diagnosed with heart attack, defibrillator or pacemaker implant, or other cardiac conditions.
\t* Monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.
\t* Initiates and revises the patient's plan of care based on continuing assessments.
\t* Includes patient teaching and discharge planning in overall plan of care.
\t* Documents nursing interventions and patient response according to hospital policy.
\t* Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and methods of implementation.
\t* Practices within the limits of the state's Nurse Practice Act and health care facility and nursing administrative policies.
\t* Supervises ancillary personnel in their performance of assigned job-related duties.
\t* Ensures patient confidentiality and the rights of the patient.
\t* Maintains and updates skills needed for excellence in patient care.
\t* Administer complex Cardiac Medications including titration based on the patient's vital signs.
